Well, I've been told by a lot of people over on the wonderful Etsy that blogging is the way to go with regards to getting word out there! So perhaps a little about myself and my shop is in order?
I'm an university student doing English and Creative Writing (undergraduate) and I am thoroughly enjoying my course in a Welsh university! It has really opened my eyes to texts that I would never have come across if I had not started on this course and I am sorry that I am not able to do my Masters straight after the BA. I plan to go into publishing after university and I dearly hope that I will be able to return to an university in a few years, perhaps part-time, to do my Masters in English, although the specifics will have to be considered later on.
I opened my shop, Welsh Dragon Ware, in May when I purchased the basic tools and fittings required to make jewellery. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it and the satisfaction that I got from wearing something that I made, so how could I not continue with it? I adore finding new beads to work with (usually glass or semi-precious stones) and especially new fabrics, from which I make my glass tile jewellery. The fabric is always from a local Welsh supplier (top secret!) and I am thrilled to have discovered this treasure trove of a local shop from which I purchase the majority of my fabrics. Upon my next visits, I hope to find more fabric and general materials for a new line of products suitable for the home - I hope to be inspired!
I will be posting here at least once a week with what I am making, what is happening and, later on, giveaways of products so please stay tuned and I hope you enjoy my blog and shop!
